26th in $1500 limit mtt.

Well...i was planning on winning my first wsop bracelet but that wasnt meant to be today. Nothing really went right for me all day. I ended up taking 26th for $9000 or so. While that is a nice little chunk of money, it still isnt all that much, considering the events get rather expensive as we move through the series. Tomorrow is $2000 nl, so hopefully ill do well with that. Also, I have 2 cashes right now, so i just might try to break the itm record for the wsop, which is 8 cashes, held by Chris Ferguson. Eight cashes is still a long way off though, so i'll just take it slow and see how it goes.

Yesterday I got straight up pwned in the $1500 yesteday. Joe Awana or something like that was being a total lag donk. He got down to 1/2 his starting stack. I ended up getting all in with him preflop with my AK and he obviously has KK...so I was down to 1/2 my starting stack. Lane Flack was also at my table. He got bad beat and had about 600 chips, which is also what I had. I potted it and we got all in pre with my AK against his A8...obviously an 8 comes so I lose.
As for today, I played the $1500 limit mtt. I somehow managed to make day 2 with 27000 chips. Im going to get a good night sleep, wake up tomorrow, read a bunch on limit, and go make a final table...Ok...im going to sleep.

blah itm day

Well...I played a nice 13 hours today for $1910 profit in the $1500 wsop even 3. I didnt get to cash out from the tourney though cause the line was HUGE...like 70 people were waiting to get their money and the line wasnt moving. Hopefully the line wont be there tomorrow before the $1500 plhe event, which im also going to play....I never really got anything going in the mtt today. I stayed between 5 and 15bbs the whole tourney. Really, I have no good stories...the problem I ran into was I didnt get any hands to steal with at all for the last 2 hours or so and phil gordon got moved to my right and started raising every time I would normally push with crap, making it hard to steal. Anyways, im going to take a shower and go to sleep so I can be fresh for the event tomorrow.

in vegas

Well...im here and chilling around our house, which is pretty nice. Im going to be playing events 2,3,4,5 and 6 at least, assuming I dont make any day 2s or 3s...so hopefully i'll only get to play one or two of them. Ok...im going to watch a movie with the guys.

great day turns out not so great

Well, i played last night last at night and mage $1500 in about 30 games which was nice. I also had a grand slam (4 wins in a row) today. At one point I was up $6000 but obviously im such a nice person that I have to give most of it back. I ended up going 14/15/13/82 for $1540 profit. I wish I had just taken the day off and chilled around the house. Buuuutt...thats not how it works.

Heres the totals since 5/19 or so (after bahamas trip) 258/264/273/1450 for 2245 games played, $42710 profit, a $10,000 wsop seat, and 10kish from rakeback. All in all, despite the last week of breakeven crap, im still content.

I'll probably play some more tomorrow until 3 am or so then ill be off to the airport to fly to vegas for the next 6 weeks.

another long boring day

Things just havent been going well for me lately. Im getting pretty burnt out with sngs, considering ive been floundering for the last 5 days. I went 11/8/10/59 today for $880 profit. I feel like I should play more but I just dont feel like it. It only midnight...I still have a few hours before my bed time and im out of dvds and videogames to play. This usually happens right before I go on trips. I run out of food in the fridge and run out of things to do to entertain myself...and as a results of that, I tend to get in a lot of games...but right now im on semitilt and just want to sit here and do nothing........ok...now that thats out of my system, I might take a little break and play some more. Who knows. I'll post again tomorrow.

Well, its 3:30 am and im still in 2 games so ill talk about whatever comes to my mind...

First thing, I watched the ive $120,000 buyin full tilt sng on fsn today. Honestly, the "pros" basically have no clue of how to play a bubble. There were a few hands that I basically fell off my couch laughing at how bad they were played. It was also amazing to me how result oriented some of the players and the announcers were. Clonie made a horrible horrible bluff where she managed to not get called and they made it out to be like it was the greatest play ever. She also walked Eric L basically every time he was in the bb. I can honestly say that I hope she sits to my right in every sng i play for the rest of my life. There were also a few other terrible things but im done with my sngs now so ill just get to the results so I can go chill.

I went 8/12/14/63 for a whopping $55 loss. Basically, nothing has really went my way for the last 4 days. Thats ok though. Its been my worst downswing since I have been playing a lot again and it is only -2k over 300 games or so, which is nothing. I plan on putting in a full day tomorrow and hopefully making some decent money.

Lots of 3rds

Honestly, I didnt feel like playing today at all, probably because I got pwned yesterday but I forced myself to put in a few hours anyways. It seemed like every sngs I got itm with average chips then got 3 outered for a 3rd. Thats ok though. 3rd = profit. I ended up going 4/6/15/28 for 54 games and $1990 profit, which is a nice little confidence booster. Anyways, im going to chill for the rest of the night. I have a headache :-(

Well, I woke up, ahd the cable guy come over and got to work only to find out the cable was stil broken. I was up about $700 after 12 games or so so I decided to quit for the day and play videogames. They got boring after like 6 hours of play so I decided to play some more poker. Big mistake. The cable was working fine but my luckbox somehow got obliterated. This must be gods way of telling me im still horrible. Thats ok...I can accept that. I also had a fun 18 buyin otm streak which ended the day. I was basically just losing every hand I played on the bubble...and when I did happen to get hu, I lost every hand there too. I ended up going 2/10/7/50 for a nice -$4035 day. Im like 95% sure if I played about 20 more games, I would win about 15 of them but I dont feel like it all. Bad days are good for you. They keep everything in a nice pessimistic perspective.

blah...internet not working

I was fully prepared to put in a nice long day today but my internet decided to start cutting off for about a minute once an hour or so causing me to time out on all my tables...and I simply cant have that. I ended up ging 4/7/3/29 today for $155 profit. The cable people are comming out tomorrow around 2 pm, a little before my normal wake up time so ill probably get to sleep a little early tonight. I guess im just going to sit around and play videogames all night.

I woke up and started 9 tabling sngs and playing the mtt on stars and party. I ended up getting $500 back from the stars mtt, so I had like $70 profit overall. Nothing really went well for me in the party mtt. I got down to about 10bbs in the sb with 44. There were 3 limpers...at that point, the thought entered my head that people love to limpcall pushes with small pairs so if thats what happens here, ill lose...but I pushed anyways just to test the theory and a guy had 99. There isnt really much to talk about the stars one. I think I played it pretty well overall.

As for sngs, I went 14/7/12/52 for a sick +$4725 day there.

215/206/211/1139 for 1771 games played, 35.7% itm, 11% roi, and a glorious $42235 profit.

Right now, im estatic. If I can keep this up for another 1000 games or so, I will be fairly confident in my win rate. I know crazy things happen in sngs so I "could" have been running well this whole time. A few thousand more sngs will let me know for sure. Im going to watch tv and chill.

rough but still nice day

I started off the day again getting down a lot, today about 15 buyins. It seems like every day I start off running poorly. It really is running bad too. It seems like late at night, I just dont get lucksacked as much and usually make up for the morning sessions pwnage. Anyways, I have a headache and dont really feel like typing. I went 5/11/8/43 for a tiny $395 profit. Oh well. Im going to chill.

ok...after losing 20 buyins, I somehow managed to come back for a nice + day. Earlier today when I was playing, I got an insane headache, which never happens to me. I hope im not sick or anything. Anyways, I went 12/11/9/55 today for $3495 profit in the 4215s and 0/0/1/2 for -$590 in $530s. I was thinking I was going to play 530s because not enough 215s run, but I am now thinking that for now, im just going to play 215s, since that seems to be where my money is comming from. I really though I would get in more games today but honestly, i just dont feel like playing. Hopefully I will want to play a little more tomorrow. I am going to eat with my parents tomorrow night though,so that might cut into the playing time a little.

I decided to play the $215 mtt on party today also. I tried to play it a little more LAG than normal with pretty good results. I was the chip leader at my table up until a ittle before the bubble where I managed to get in 2 huge coin flips and lost both. Basically, when we all had 30bbs, I was pwning. I really feel as if I have learned a lot about deepish stack mtts...too bad party doesnt have those. I got in some nice practice in this one though, which is a nice confidence builder considering i did what I wanted to do and it all worked out. Anyways, I took 51st in that for $375 profit after losing another coin flip that I might should have passed up. Ohh well. can deal with that. Im going to watch tv and get some sleep.

tahoe rapup

I managed to learn lots of lessons on this trip for a fairly cheap price that im sure will save/make me a lot of money in the future. Lesson 1...dont gambool for lots of money in -ev casino games. Lesson 2, dont go broke in a poker tourney with crap. Lesson 3, dont gambool for lots of money in -ev casino games.

Basically, i got drunkn one night and lost $4500, all the cash I had on me in blackjack...so, im never going to get drunk or play blackjack again. Im fairly confident I can stick to that. considering I only took $6000 in cash on this trip and I had already lost $1500 of it in poker, I had to borrow some money from shannon since he had taken 2nd in a mtt for 25k. I ended up taking 10th in the $1500 mtt yesterday which won me a nice $0. 9th was $4500 and 1st was $50,000. I made a horrible play when we were down to 11 people. I had about 22000 chips, which was a little less than average. I had been fairly tight simply because I never had a chance to steal. So...we were 5 handed, I opened for 2.75 the bb, 2200 or so (400/800 blinds) from 1st with AJ, the button, a total idiot that I have seen reraise with AT about an hur earlier and just lose a huge pot to a guy reraised about 8000, or 1/2 of his chips. I started the hand with. This would normally be an easy fold but for some reason I thought he might be on tilt so I went all in and his AK pwned me. I managed to double up and maker the final table with 10,000 chips. Their final table had 10 people but only 9 got money. I guess I wasnt really thinking about sneaking into the money even thought therte were two other people with similar stacks to me. I got 88 from mp and pushed for 10bbs and a guy got AA and let me take 10th. So...I also learned that when you are basically guarenteed to get itm, you should. I knew this but for some reason I wasnt thinking clearly. Oh well...lesosn learned.

I went back to the hotel room very depressed because I was down $10,000 on this trip all due to my own stupidity. Me and Nate both owed shannon money, so he came up with the bright idea of flipping coins for money. I dont know how, but I ended up being up $6,000 from coin flips before I contently stopped, happily taking a $4,000 oss on the trip instead of a 10k one. Fwiw, I also got the $10,000 wsop main event seat for playing a zillion sngs in 2 days, which is basically going to force me to stay in vegas for the whole 6 weeks because I have to see ufc and some shows at the start of the trip and play the main event at the end. I also made about $7000 from sngs on the trip. All in all, it was as good as a trip as it could be, considering I got pwned pretty hard in most everything I touched, besides coin flips. Im the coin flippinh master. Simple as that. Ok...im going to get on a plane soon. I'll post again after I get home and play some more sngs. This next week is going to be a hardcore woek week. Im looking foreward to it.

God hates me. Simple as that. After seeing shannon lose hu to that guy as a 6000:1 fav, I thought that he was the most unlucky good player alive. God disproved me today, letting me know again that that is my title. I got 2 outered in the mtt today, which is very normal. I watched dave win his mtt for a nice 14k or something like that. So, as of now, shannon has won 25k, dave has won 14k, nate has won 20k in mtt seats, I dont think Reed has won anything but he hasnt played much, and I have won nothing. This live poker thing obviously isnt for me...and the truth hurts. I decided to do the only thing I thought i knew how to do, $215 sngs, and ended up going 2/0/1/20 for a $2500ish loss. I obviously suck at that too. So...im going to go to sleep, sleep all day tomorrow, wake up the next day, go home, and try to not kill myself.

Since im in lake tahoe on vacation, i decided to put in some more hours in the sngs after getting screwed over in live poker again. I really really hate live poker. The wsop is going to be horrible. Good think I obviously like to be miserible. Anyways...here are the total numbers for the sngs ive played since ive been here.

530s: 12/14/14/94 for 139 games played for a nice $3670 loss, -5% roi
215s: 21/25/29/146 for 231 games for a happy $7935 profit, 15% roi
109s: 3/1/6/19 for 29 games at a $161 loss, -.5% roi

$4104 total profit plus a $10,000 wsop seat and $2500ish from rakeback.

Im pretty happy I turned a profit even though I got pwned in the $530s. Obviously the $215s are where I belong for now. Im glad I have found somewhere I am somehow a solid winner. Hopefully I can keep up the results.

Tomorrow I am probably going to donk of $1000 in a mtt then $1500 the next day then fly home on Thu. Im honestly looking foreward to going back home and getting in solid hours of $215s.

Even though im having a crappy time with poker here, I am enjoying hanging out with my roomies. Nate Dave Reed and Shannon are all very cool people. I think they are all staying in the house in vegas, so that should be a blast. Ok...im going to watch some poker videos or something then go to sleep.

Pretty crappy trip so far

Nothing has went right for me in lake tahoe. I took 16th in a $1000 mtt with 145 people which won me a nice $0. Shannon Shorr took 2nd in the same event for $25,000...he got totallt screwed over hu, losing 4 hands where he was a huge fav once heads up. He calculated the odds of that happening and it was 6000:1...Maybe im not the most unlucky person in the world. Im down $1000 from sngs here as well but I did get an email from party saying that I got the $10,000 wsop seat, which is nice. I am probably just going to play sngs for the rest of today. Im also probably going to play the $1000 mtt tomorrow and the $1500 mtt the next day, then fly home to put in a week of solid work before flying out to vegasd for 6 weeks. I guess ill post again whenever something happens.

...i played a lot today.

In an attempt to get 25,000 party points asap, I decided to skip the $500 mtt today and play a zillion sngs. I was expecting to play about 10 hours or so and have all the points i needed but party decided to not work very well, so i ended up playing about 12 hours, getting 22000 points. I would have kept up the slow grind at the end of the night but the games just stopped loading. Im not 100% sure about my numbers today because im really out of it and I cant think at all. Heres the numbers I ended up with...I went 9/7/18/70 in 530s, 21/12/16/76 in 215s, and 3/1/6/19 in 109s....I think thats 258 games. Im sure I missed a game here and there though, so its probably a few more. I ended up being up $2300ish for the day, but im going to get a $10,000 wsop seat out of the deal too, so all in all, it was a very productive day. I just need to figure out if im going to wake up tomorrow and grind a little more and skip the 1k mtt here or play the mtt then grind. Im thinking ill be ok if I play the mtt and then grind at night. Thats probably what I will do. I'll post again tomorrow.

edit: I woke up around 9:30 and decided to finish up the games I needed to play. I ended up losing $4000 or so all to retarded beats from retarded people. Im pretty sure I have my 25000 points and the $10,000 wsop seat now, which is nice. I may be a few points away though, and if I am, ill just knock them out after the $1000 mtt today.

dont know what to do...

Im sitting here at the airport in Orange County and I just got the news that basically if you get 50,000 party points in a week, they will give you a free wsop seat. Im supposed to be at lake tahoe for wsop events/vacation but now im probably going to end up spending all my free time grinding hard in $215s or $530s. Actually, I take that back. I just did the math and see that its only like 200 $530s...so, whenever I land in lake tahoe, im going to start up some games and not quit til im done...well, i might sleep somewhere in there. But sweet. Ill just grind out a long session and win a seat...yay. Time to get on the plane.

Well, I woke up, worked on getting my neteller unfrozen some more and came home and taught a friend a little in sngs. We played 15 $6 sngs and I made him a nice $100. i obviously used up all my luck though because as soon as I got in 6 215s, they stopped loading and I started getting pwned, losing 3 buyins. Im glad im going to tahoe for a week cause I HATE waiting for the tables to take a minute or so to load up...in fact, I am pretty sure it puts me on tilt which basically makes the party sngs unplayable for me at the moment. I guess im going to finish packing and watch tv all night. Woohoo.

Problems

I woke up today planning to go see the omen as soon as I woke up, then get to work around 4 pm and grind out a nice long day. Instead, I woke up, tried to transfer some money from neteller to my bank account and it said my account was frozen. No biggie...I called them up and it turns out that the account, which was under my dads name, had the wrong birthday on it...great. Now they think its a fake account. So...instead of going to the movie, I spent the next 3 hours on tthe phone and waiting for them to call me back along with my dad trying to get it straightened out. They eventually told me to just send in a bank statement and they would unfreeze it...the only problem is that the bank statement I got had my accoutn number XXXXXXXed out. As of now, my account is still frozen, so I am going to call them tomorrow if it is still frozen and see what the deal it. It wouldnt be that big of a deal but they have about $40,000 that I was in the process of cashing out from my poker stars win that I am kinda needing to play wsop events ina few weeks and I need the money soon. Hopefully I can get it all taken care of very soon.

Anyways, after that I took my parents to a nice place to eat, came home and got to work. I got a whopping 26 games in before party decided to go down, forcing me to quit. I started off the session down 10 buyins but got a few firsts at the end to bring me to 5/1/2/18 for a nice $810 profit.

After that, I decided to go see the omen with one of my friends, as I couldnt play online. We tried 2 different theaters and both of them were sold out. I guess kids really like the devil. We ended up seeing some comedy with Jennifer Aniston which was fairly funny.

So...now im sitting here trying to figure out what I want to do with the rest of the night. Its 1 am so the games will probably be slow, so I guess im just going to do laundry, get packed for Lake Tahoe, watch some Oz, which is an awesome show, and get some sleep.

Well, I woke up this morning around 3 pm and went to the bank and had them wire the Rio $25,000 for the wsop, although ill probably need more than that...ill just hope I dont. I also went out to eat with a friend because party was down and i had nothing else to do. I came back home and didnt really feel like playing, but i told myself it go for a few hours and see what happens. So...heres the results. 7/5/5/29 for a nice $2110 profit. Good enough for me. Im going to watch tv.

Ok day

My day started off great after the crap that happened yesterday. I was up $2000 more than I started with yesterday then I came back and lost it all plus some, which really really pisses me off but that happens when you lose every hand you play. Anyways, heres the numbers for today...17/15/21/87 for a nice $4085 profit.

Here are the numbers since I got back from the bahamas....
138/145/141/776 for 1190 games played, 35.6% itm 10% roi and $25550 profit, plus $5500ish from rakeback. All in all, im very very happy. Hopefully I can keep these numbers the same for another 1000 games.

Well, its only 11:30 but I dont really feel like playing anymore right now. I got my head beat in again in mtts today, losing all but one of them to 3 outers and the other one I had QQ run into KK when I was short. Ohhhh wellllll. I bought Oz and watched the first season a few days ago and loved it, so I bought the other 4 seasons and am going to devour them in the next few weeks. I guess ill just post again tomorrow after I put in some more hours.

very rough day

Today was horrible. Simple as that. I got fucked in basically every game I played. I got a ton of 4th places and a ton of 10th places where people would "trap" me with their 99 against my AA. I mean, just now, as im finishing up my set, a guy limps from the sb and calls my 8xbb push with K7. If obviously comes K7x so I lose. I guess I should be happy because everyone is constantly trying to get there money. Ok...I was on another bubble and just lost with my AJ to A9. leaving me with 3bbs. I push JTs and get called by the sb and the bb who have 75 and 74...and a 7 comes so i lose again. Basically, god hates me today. Thats ok...he has been friendly for the last week. I am going to play the mtts tomorrow and hopefully not get screwed over too bad. Oh yeah...results....a beautiful 7/4/4/56. I say beautiful because before the last 4 games I finished, I was down $3600 more...so actually, being down "only" $4480 isnt all that bad. I should probably keep playing because I feel good but im going to take a little break and either play videogames all night or play some more later.

Oh yeah, I also played the saturday mtt on party and just lost when I had AA on a Q52 board and got all in against QT, so i lose when a T comes. I might not even play tomorrow. I'll have to see how im feeling.

edit: I decided to play about 60 more games and didnt get unlucky that much. I ended up making $3055 in those, so today wasnt all that bad Im going to put those results with tomorrows though cause I already have my records nice and pretty. So...today wasnt all that bad. Only -$1200.

Another good day

Poker is weird. I started the day off nicely, getting up $2000 in my first session. I decided I was going to go see one of my friends play at some cafe in his band but when i drove downtown to try to find it, I couldnt...and no one down there seemed to know where it was at, so I turned around and came home. I started playing again once I got back and lost 20 games in a row. It was sick. After that mess was over, I went on a redic winning streak, getting a quick 5 wins and 10 2nds. I ended the day going 15/14/15/76 for a nice $3600 profit in 120 games in 7.25 hours. I bought the new hitman video game, so I am probably going to play that a little cause I am pretty beat after the rollercoaster session then head to sleep.

I couldnt sleep this afternoon so I woke up around 1 pm. I was going to do like I always do and wake up, watch tv, then get to work, but I really didnt feel like tving for some reason. I had a sick sick 1st session today, making $5000 in about 50 games. I came back later though and got my head beat in but managed to go 3/0/0/1 in my last 4 games all because my opponents horrible play to get back up 5k. . I ended up getting in 103 games in 5.75 hours, going 14/15/10/69 for a beautiful $4885 profit.

Also, I made my goal of $10,000 in 3 days...So now I have 4 days where I dont really feel like I HAVE to play, but im sure im still going to get in at least 100 games per day. Fwiw, I feel like I havent played all that much today and I got in 103 games. Also, I am pretty bored now if I am in "only" 9 games whereas a week ago, 9 was about all I could handle, ocnsidering you only have 15 seconds to act. Its good to see that my multitabling skills improving. Anyways, im probably going to call it a night and just chill around my house. I may work some more a little later though because its only 10 pm and I have about 6 hours before my bed time.
